Pre-auth

The function is used to hold funds on the account / card for several days depending on the rules of the issuing bank. The transaction is booked and credited to the merchant’s account only after the payment has been completed by the merchant (e.g. after verification of the availability of goods or services).

To create or complete a payment, click the 1 Pre-auth icon. In the displayed menu, you can choose from 2 Pre-authorization, 3 Preauthorization completion or 4 Preauth list.

2 Pre-authorization

After clicking on Pre-authorization, enter the amount and confirm it 1 Next. A payment card prompt screen will appear to pay the amount (apply, insert or swipe your card).

After a few seconds, the payment will take place and the terminal will print a receipt of successful or unsuccessful completion of the transaction. If you need to print the receipt one more time, use the function 2 Print a copy. You can return to the main screen of the application by clicking on 3 Close, or wait, the application will automatically return to the main screen (after 10 seconds).

3 Preauthorization completion

After clicking on Preauthorization completion, a screen will appear with a prompt to present a payment card (append, insert or swipe the card). Subsequently, a list of pre-authorizations created for the given card will be displayed, click on 1 select a transaction.

The detail of the selected pre-authorization will be displayed, click 2 Preauthorization completion. Enter the amount you want to withdraw from the card and select 3 Next.

*If an amount lower than the one for which the pre-authorization was created is entered, part of the withheld amount will be released again and returned to the customer’s account.

The terminal prints a receipt of successful or unsuccessful completion of the transaction. If you need to print the receipt one more time, use the function 4 Print a copy. You can return to the main screen of the application by clicking on 5 Close, or wait, the application will automatically return to the main screen (after 10 seconds).

4 Preauth list

After clicking on Preauth list you will see a list of all pre-authorizations ready to be completed, click 1 to select a transaction to complete. Its detail will be displayed, click on 2 Preauthorization completion.

*If pre-authorization is selected via Preauth list, there is no need to attach the payment card again, but the selected pre-authorization must be found in the list with other pre-authorizations. Via Completion of pre-authorization with the card attached, a list of only the transactions for the given card will be displayed.

Enter the amount you want to withdraw from the card and choose 3 Next. The terminal will print a receipt of successful or unsuccessful completion of the transaction.If you need to print the receipt one more time, use the function 4 Print a copy. You can return to the main screen of the application by clicking on 5 Close, or wait, the application will automatically return to the main screen (after 10 seconds).
